We stopped in here after riding up the Col du Pierre St Martin and back down again (a tough ride from the French side, a little easier from the Spanish side. Watch out for bears, wolves and vultures – I’m not joking).
The guys had been here a couple of days prior and raved about it, so we dropped in.
The food? Amazing, and cheap (typical for Spain). Order the steak, lamb and trout. And tuna salad.
The coffee was surprisingly very good. Very, very good.
Drop in here and you won’t be disappointed. Dinner starts from 8.30PM and it got busy, fast, so be there at 8.30PM for dinner.
It’s located about a 50km ride from Aramits (near Oloron St Marie) so you could ride up the Col (a very tough 17km ride from the French side), have a meal, then head back (about 15km back to the top of the Col, and about 35km down into Aramits).
