2013 Chain Reaction Charity Ride – Day 6
2013 Chain Reaction Charity Ride Day 6 Canberra -> Moss Vale: 183km, 1468m ascent, 6h40m.
Wow. What a day.
Canberra is collllld on departure (a common theme on this trip. Cold. Not Canberra).
One thing I am really enjoying about this trip is learning a lot about the country we live in.
Below is a picture of Lake George – a lake that mysteriously fills and empties. The mechanism by which it does so seems to be evaporation (the lake at its lowest points is only 80cm deep) and wind blowing the water back on itself. The lake has no outflow and is over a million years old.
It is BITTERLY cold at Lake George.
Not quite sure what is being discussed here, but it seems rather serious.
Likewise I am not sure what is being discussed here. Two rather high powered individuals discussing something that will probably stay between them.

The roads are pretty easy traffic-wise, apart from one redneck in a Landcruiser who used language unsuitable to be even heard by a dead pirate.
We lunch in Goulburn and have a surprise teams pursuit race in the velodrome.
Here's me at the big merino.
Moss Vale and surrounds are really, really pretty. Cold, but pretty.
There's a lot of colour in the countryside with liquid ambers and poplars colouring the countryside with autumnal beauty.
For me the spirit of can do was epitomised by Lakey, who drove back to Canberra on a 4 hour round trip to pick up a bag that the Novatel in Canberra failed to bring down and then refused to bring up or put in a cab. Poor form by Novatel Canberra.
